After 15yrs as a corporate salesman/slave I was... 'Burned Out'. My brother, being overseas for the last 16yrs in Poland, suggested I 'escape' and come over for a much needed vacation. "Take 3 months and get away." I sold everything, moved out of my overpriced apartment and a couple of months later found myself in Poland enjoying some much need rest. After being here for a just a few short months, I discovered that Poles(and many other European nations) have a desperate need for the English language. I realized, I could teach English and make a pretty good living without any stress. I decided to stay. Being an avid player back home I needed to get a new set up. (Remember I came for only 3 months.) As I searched for the 'little things' I realized that I couldn't buy a pocket chalker. The concept just never made it over the pond. The #1 accessory for a player next to his tip-pik and the Europeans don't even know what it is. It just so happened that one of my students manufactures show saddles and exports them all over the world. She, just also happens to have, a 10'x20' room full of scrap leather the government won't let them dispose of. This is the leather we use to make our products. Not only is it the Finest Leather in the world, it's RECYCLED. Euro Pocket Chalkers are chalking cues all over the world. Our products span the globe with distribution reaching Sheffield England, Naples Italy, Lisbon Portugal, the Netherlands, Germany and(but not limited to) Hong Kong China. You can find our products in over 24 foriegn countries with wholesale distribution in over 16. We can say they are truly "World Class". We started our business with a mere $25, Ebay, the help of an organization known as ZAZ(more on ZAZ below) and the idea that a simple idea had not been taken 'worldwide'. At this time, I'd like to welcome Monika to my side. Monika has joined me on a full time basis and has taken over all aspects of manufacturing, assemble, going to customs and shipping out your product. She a great asset in many ways plus one more. She doesn't speak English. I MUST learn Polish. :) I've been here almost 5yrs now and my Polish is still, not so good. I want say Thank You to ZAZ. They were a tremendous help in getting this business started. It was a joy and an honor. All our products were cut, sewn and assembled by an organization known as ZAZ. Zaklad Aktywnosci Zawodowej, Stowarzyszenie Pomocy Humanitarnej. This is an agency that, in partnership with the Polish government and local businesses, provides jobs for the mentally challenged. They provide many services from printing and cutting cardboard and assembling boxes for lightbulb packaging for Phillips Lighting to sewing stuffed animals for the Polish fire department to embroidery work. They are a very 'gifted' group of individuals and we are proud to have worked with them.
